Bar J Chuckwagon Suppers

We had several people tell us that the Bar J Chuckwagon should be on our to do list while in Jackson. So a couple of weeks before we left I called and made reservations.

It was as great as everyone said. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. We arrived a little early. We wandered around the property, checked out the souvenir shop and sampled dutch oven biscuits.
The beginning of a great evening filled with good food, a lot of laughter and good, old cowboy music :)

The line to get dinner tickets

This was as close as we came to seeing bears on our trip :)

This is the building where we ate dinner

A peek inside ~ The stage is up front

We sampled dutch oven biscuits

We walked around the property a bit before dinner

Mmmmm ~ One of those steaks has my name written on it.

Yum

Dinner was at 7pm. The show started at 8 and we laughed from minute 1 until the end. It was full of cowboy songs like "Home on the Range" and "Big, Bad John". There was a lot of ranch & cowboy humor ~ all in all it was a wonderful evening.

Next stop, Yellowstone.
